ସମ୍ବଲପୁରରେ ପ୍ରବଳ ବର୍ଷା ପରେ ବିଗିଡ଼ିଲା ସ୍ଥିତି। ସମ୍ବଲପୁରରେ ଗତକାଲିଠାରୁ ଅବିରତ ବର୍ଷା ଜାରି ରହିବାରୁ ସହରର ବହୁ ଅଞ୍ଚଳ ଜଳମଗ୍ନ ହୋଇପଡ଼ିଛି। ଗତକାଲି ଦିନତମାମ ଓ ରାତିସାରା ସମ୍ବଲପୁରରେ ଲଗାଣ ବର୍ଷା ହୋଇଥିଲା। ଅନେକ ଘର ଭିତରକୁ ପାଣି ପଶିଥିବା ବେଳେ କିଛି ପରିବାର ଜଳବନ୍ଦୀ ଅବସ୍ଥାରେ ରହିଛନ୍ତି।

Continuous heavy rainfall since yesterday has severely affected Sambalpur, leaving several parts of the city waterlogged. Rainwater entered many houses, several families remain stranded, and normal life has been disrupted as clogged and narrowed drains failed to discharge the accumulated water. District officials, including the District Collector, Municipal Corporation Commissioner and other officers, inspected the flooded areas overnight, while the Dhanupali police team entered nearly four-foot-deep water to assess the situation on the ground. In view of the prevailing conditions, the District Collector has declared a holiday for all schools under Sambalpur Municipal Corporation and Dhankauda Block.
