Heavy rainfall has prompted the district administration to declare a holiday for all schools in Subarnapur. Similar precautionary measures remain in force in Cuttack, where all schools, colleges and Anganwadi centres have been closed, while all schools under Sambalpur Municipal Corporation and Dhankauda Block have also been declared shut. The decision has been taken in view of the continuing heavy rainfall and prevailing weather conditions across Odisha.
