In a major crackdown, the Special Task Force (STF) seized cannabis allegedly being smuggled in a truck loaded with basmati rice. The truck, travelling from Gajapati to Delhi, was intercepted at Pitapalli on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar. The STF arrested the truck driver and seized cannabis worth around ₹2 crore, exposing a new method of concealing contraband inside commercial cargo for interstate transportation.
