Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced an ex gratia of ₹10 lakh each from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for the families of two devotees who lost their lives after falling ill during the Puri Rath Yatra. The beneficiaries are Anil Das of Cuttack and Ashok Subare of Mumbai, who reportedly became critically ill amid the heavy crowd during the Rath Yatra on July 16 and later died while undergoing treatment.
Expressing profound grief over the tragic incident, the Chief Minister conveyed his condolences to the bereaved families and announced compassionate financial assistance to support them.
