Mining Department Cracks Down on Alleged Illegal Sand Transport to West Bengal

ଓଡ଼ିଶାରୁ ପଶ୍ଚିମବଙ୍ଗକୁ ବେଆଇନ ବାଲି ଚାଲାଣ ବେଳେ ମାଇନିଂ ବିଭାଗର ଚଢ଼ାଉ। ଜଳେଶ୍ୱର ଓ ବସ୍ତା ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ଚଢ଼ାଉ କରି ୪ଟି ବାଲି ବୋଝେଇ ହାଇୱା ସହ ୨ଟି ଟ୍ରାକ୍ଟର ଜବତ କରିଛି ବିଭାଗ। ସୂଚନା ଅନୁସାରେ, ପଶ୍ଚିମବଙ୍ଗକୁ ବେଆଇନ ଭାବେ ବାଲି ଚାଲାଣ ହେଉଥିବା ଖବର ପାଇ ଜଳେଶ୍ୱର ଓ ବସ୍ତା ମାଇନିଂ ଅଧିକାରୀ ମିଳିତ ଭାବେ ଚଢ଼ାଉ କରିଥିଲେ। ବସ୍ତା ଥାନା ଅଞ୍ଚଳରୁ ୨ଟି ହାଇୱା ଏବଂ ବାଲିଆପାଳ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରୁ ୨ଟି ହାଇୱା ସହ ୨ଟି ଟ୍ରାକ୍ଟର ଜବତ ହୋଇଛି।
The Odisha Mining Department carried out a joint enforcement drive against the alleged illegal transportation of sand from Odisha to West Bengal. Acting on specific information, mining officials from Jaleswar and Basta conducted raids in Basta and Baliapal areas, seizing four sand-laden Hyva trucks and two tractors. According to the department, the action was taken following reports of illegal sand transport. The operation has reportedly created concern among those allegedly involved in the illegal sand trade.
