ମୁଣ୍ଡଳୀରେ ଧୀରେ ଧୀରେ ବୃଦ୍ଧି ପାଉଛି ମହାନଦୀ ଜଳସ୍ତର। ହୀରାକୁଦ ଖୋଲିଥିବା ୨୨ ଟି ଗେଟର ବନ୍ୟାଜଳ ଆସି ମୁଣ୍ଡଳୀରେ ପହଁଚିଛି। ଶୁକ୍ରବାର ପର୍ଯ୍ୟାୟ କ୍ରମେ ୨୨ଟି ଗେଟ ଖୋଲାଯାଇଥିଲା। ଯାହା ମୁଣ୍ଡଳୀରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବାକୁ ପ୍ରାୟ ୪୦ ଘଣ୍ଟା ସମୟ ଲାଗିଛି। ଆଜି ସକାଳ ୯ଟା ସୁଦ୍ଧା ମୁଣ୍ଡଳୀରେ ୫ ଲକ୍ଷ ୭୩ ହଜାର ୪୭୫ କ୍ୟୁସେକ୍ ବନ୍ୟାଜଳ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେଉଛି।
The water level of the Mahanadi River is gradually rising at Mundali as floodwater released from the 22 gates of Hirakud Dam has reached the downstream barrage. The gates were opened in phases on Friday, and the released water took around 40 hours to reach Mundali.
