Under the influence of the low-pressure area formed over the Bay of Bengal, the sea is likely to remain rough till July 17, accompanied by heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, gusty winds and high tides. In view of the adverse weather conditions, fishermen have been strictly advised not to venture into the sea during this period.
