Panic has gripped Hengzhou in Guangxi, southern China, after nearly 900 snakes escaped from a snake breeding centre damaged by severe flooding caused by heavy rainfall. According to reports, the escaped reptiles include venomous cobras and kraits, which were swept into surrounding floodwaters, raising serious safety concerns for local residents. The flooding breached the breeding facility, allowing the snakes to spread across nearby areas as authorities responded to the emergency and urged people to remain cautious.
