A joyous birthday celebration ended in tragedy after an elderly woman, identified as M. Mahalakshmi Patra, suddenly collapsed while having food at a birthday feast organised at Dhabaleswar Shiva Temple in Basudevpur village under Digapahandi police limits of Ganjam district, Odisha. She was immediately rushed to the Digapahandi hospital, where doctors declared her dead. The exact cause of her sudden death is yet to be known.
