In a rare incident, a woman reached a hospital carrying the live snake that had bitten her in Malkangiri district. The incident occurred in Kurumpali village under Mathili block, where Manima Nayak was allegedly bitten by a snake in the evening. Instead of leaving the reptile behind, she caught the snake, placed it inside a container and rushed to the Mathili Sub-Divisional Medical for treatment. The unusual scene drew attention at the hospital as the woman sought medical assistance while carrying the live snake that had bitten her.
