Patient Carried for 1 Km as Ambulance Fails to Reach Muddy Village in Jagatsinghpur

An ailing woman from Patapur village under Rahan Gram Panchayat in Balikuda block of Jagatsinghpur district had to be carried on a makeshift stretcher for nearly one kilometre after an ambulance failed to reach her home due to a muddy and waterlogged road. According to the source, the woman's husband, Laxman Das, had called an ambulance to take her to the hospital. However, with the vehicle unable to enter the village because of the poor road condition, family members were forced to carry the patient on foot until they reached the waiting ambulance.
