Opposition to the animated film based on Lord Jagannath intensified as Jagannath devotees addressed a press conference at Shaila Srikhetra in Angul. According to the source, they alleged that the film misrepresents Lord Jagannath and is contrary to Jagannath culture. The devotees urged the filmmakers to refrain from releasing the animated film.

The source further states that the protesters demanded the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) immediately revoke the film's certification and called upon both the Central and Odisha governments to intervene.
