ଏଲ୍-ନିନୋ ସ୍ଥିତି ମୁକାବିଲା ପାଇଁ ରାଜ୍ୟ ସରକାରଙ୍କ ତତ୍ପରତା। ସ୍ବତନ୍ତ୍ର କଣ୍ଟିନଜେନ୍ସି ଯୋଜନା ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ ପାଇଁ କୃଷି ବିଭାଗକୁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦେଲେ ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ମୋହନ ଚରଣ ମାଝୀ। ଭୁବନେଶ୍ବର ଲୋକସେବା ଅନୁଷ୍ଠିତ ପ୍ରାକୃତିକ ବିପର୍ଯ୍ୟୟ କମିଟି ବୈଠକରେ ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ କହିଛନ୍ତି ଏବର୍ଷ ଏଲନିନୋ ପ୍ରଭାବ ଯୋଗୁଁ କମ୍ ବୃଷ୍ଟିପାତ ହେବାର ଆଶଙ୍କା ରହିଛି। ତେଣୁ ଖରିଫ ଫସଲ ଯେପରି ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ନହେବ, ସେଥିପାଇଁ କୃଷି, ଜଳସେଚନ ଓ ଅନ୍ୟ ସମ୍ପୃକ୍ତ ବିଭାଗକୁ ସମନ୍ୱୟ ରକ୍ଷା କରି କାମ କରିବାକୁ ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି। ଏଥିସହ ବିପର୍ଯ୍ୟୟ ପରିଚାଳନାରେ ଶିଥିଳତାକୁ ବରଦାସ୍ତ କରାଯିବନି। ଜିରୋ କାଜୁଆଲ୍ ଟି ସରକାରଙ୍କ ସଙ୍କଳ୍ପ ବୋଲି ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ କହିଛନ୍ତି। ରାଜ୍ୟରେ ଥିବା ୯୧୧ଟି ଆଶ୍ରୟସ୍ଥଳୀର ରକ୍ଷଣାବେକ୍ଷଣ ନିମନ୍ତେ ଆଶ୍ରୟସ୍ଥଳୀ ପିଛା ୬ ଲକ୍ଷ ଟଙ୍କା ଲେଖାଏଁ ଦିଆଯିବ। ...

Anticipating deficient rainfall due to the possible impact of El Niño this year, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has directed the Agriculture Department to prepare a special contingency plan. Speaking at the Natural Disaster Committee meeting at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar, the Chief Minister stressed the need for coordinated efforts among the Agriculture, Water Resources and other related departments to ensure that Kharif crops are not adversely affected. He also reiterated that there would be no compromise in disaster management and asserted that achieving 'Zero Casualty' remains the government's commitment. Additionally, the state has decided to provide Rs 6 lakh each for the maintenance of all 911 cyclone and disaster shelters across Odisha.
