Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has written to the Union Culture Minister, seeking UNESCO's Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity status for the Puri Rath Yatra. He said the recognition would enhance the festival's global significance, while noting that the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration has already submitted the required documents. The CM also described the Rath Yatra as a timeless symbol of world brotherhood and human values.
