'No Insurance, No Fuel': Supreme Court Asks Centre to Prepare Pilot Project

ମଙ୍ଗଳବାର ଦେଶର ସର୍ବୋଚ୍ଚ ଅଦାଲତ ସୁପ୍ରିମକୋର୍ଟରେ ଜଷ୍ଟିସ୍ ସଞ୍ଜୟ କରୋଲ ଓ ଜଷ୍ଟିସ୍ ପି. କେ. ମିଶ୍ରଙ୍କ ଖଣ୍ଡପୀଠ ସରକାରଙ୍କୁ ଏକ ପ୍ରସ୍ତାବ ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି । ପ୍ରସ୍ତାବ ଅନୁଯାୟୀ, ଯେଉଁ ଗାଡ଼ିର ବୈଧ ଇନସୁରାନ୍ସ ନଥିବ, ସେହି ଗାଡ଼ିକୁ ପେଟ୍ରୋଲ ପମ୍ପରେ ଇନ୍ଧନ ନ ଦେବା ନେଇ ଏକ ପାଇଲଟ୍ ପ୍ରକଳ୍ପ ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରିବାକୁ ସୁପ୍ରିମକୋର୍ଟ ସରକାରଙ୍କୁ କହିଛନ୍ତି।
The Supreme Court of India has proposed a pilot project under which vehicles without valid insurance may not be supplied fuel at petrol pumps. A Bench comprising Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra made the suggestion on Tuesday, asking the Central Government to prepare the pilot initiative to improve compliance with mandatory vehicle insurance rules. The proposal is aimed at ensuring that only insured vehicles are allowed to refuel, though it is currently a direction to formulate a pilot project and not an implemented nationwide policy.
