Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan faced protests in Kendrapara as the district Congress unit staged demonstrations over the alleged NEET question paper leak issue. Hundreds of Congress workers gathered at Duhuria while the Union Minister was in the district to attend a social programme. The protest led to a face-off between Congress workers and BJP supporters.
Amid rising tensions, police intervened and reportedly detained hundreds of Congress workers to maintain law and order. The protest was organised to express opposition to the alleged irregularities in the NEET examination.
Dharmendra Pradhan was in Kendrapara on Sunday to participate in a social event. The incident triggered political confrontation between Congress and BJP supporters in the area, prompting a strong police presence.
