A 10-foot-long Irrawaddy Dolphin was found washed ashore at Pentha Beach in Gahirmatha, Kendrapara. Tourists visiting the beach reportedly mistook the dolphin for being alive and dragged it back into the sea before informing authorities. By the time the Rajnagar Forest Department reached the spot, the dolphin was no longer there. The incident has raised several unanswered questions about how the rare marine mammal died and what caused it to wash ashore, prompting concern among wildlife officials and nature lovers.
