ପୁଣି ବିବାଦ, ପୁଣି ବନ୍ଦ ହେଲା ନୀତିକାନ୍ତି। ଶ୍ରାବଣର ପ୍ରଥମ ସୋମବାରରେ ବାବା ଲିଙ୍ଗରାଜଙ୍କ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ଦେଖିବାକୁ ମିଳିଲା ବିଭ୍ରାଟ। ଜଳଲାଗି ସହ ବାବାଙ୍କ ଦର୍ଶନ ପାଇଁ ବିଳମ୍ବିତ ରାତିରୁ ମନ୍ଦିରରେ ଲାଗିଥିଲା ହଜାର ହଜାର ଭକ୍ତଙ୍କ ଭିଡ଼। କିନ୍ତୁ ଶ୍ରାବଣ ଭେଟ ପାଉଣା ବଣ୍ଟାକୁ କେନ୍ଦ୍ର କରି ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣ ଓ ବଡୁ ସେବାୟତଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ବିବାଦ ଉପୁଜିବାରୁ ମନ୍ଦିରର ନୀତିକାନ୍ତି ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ଠପ୍ ହୋଇଯାଇଥିଲା। ଏହାର ସିଧାସଳଖ ପ୍ରଭାବ ପଡ଼ିଥିଲା ଭକ୍ତଙ୍କ ଉପରେ। ଦୂରଦୂରାନ୍ତରୁ ଆସିଥିବା ଶ୍ରଦ୍ଧାଳୁମାନେ ବାବାଙ୍କ ପୂଜା କରିପାରିନଥିଲେ।
Temple rituals at the Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar came to a standstill on the first Monday of Shravan after a dispute reportedly broke out between Brahmin and Badu Servitors over the distribution of Bhet Pauna (traditional allowance). The disruption affected the Jalalagi ritual and delayed darshan for thousands of devotees who had gathered since late at night. As a result, many pilgrims who had travelled from different places were unable to offer prayers to Lord Lingaraj.
