The historic royal palace at Athagadapatna in Kabisuryanagar Block of Ganjam district has fallen into a state of neglect, with collapsing roofs, cracked walls and large trees growing over parts of the structure. Though the palace now resembles an abandoned site, its intricate architecture and heritage continue to reflect the craftsmanship of a bygone era. Once a place where kings governed and public grievances were addressed, the palace today stands in a dilapidated condition, awaiting preservation and protection.
