ରାତାରାତି ଲିଭିଗଲା ଶହ ଶହ ବର୍ଷର ସ୍ମୃତି। ମାଟିରେ ମିଶିଛି ଓଡ଼ିଶା ଇତିହାସର ସ୍ମୃତିର ସନ୍ତକ, ରାଜ୍ୟର ପ୍ରଥମ ରାଜଧାନୀ କଟକର ପ୍ରଥମ ପୋଲିସ ଷ୍ଟେସନ ଲାଲବାଗ ଥାନା। ଦୀର୍ଘ ବର୍ଷ ଧରି ଚାଲିଥିବା ଏହି ଐତିହ୍ୟ ଥାନା ଏବେ ଗଣେଶ ଘାଟ ନିକଟକୁ ଅସ୍ଥାୟୀ ଭାବେ ସ୍ଥାନାନ୍ତରିତ ହୋଇଛି। ଏହି ଥାନା ହାଇକୋର୍ଟକୁ ମୁଖ୍ୟତଃ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ପ୍ରଦାନ କରିବା ସହ ସହରର ଅନେକ ସମ୍ବେଦନଶୀଳ ସ୍ଥାନକୁ ସୁରକ୍ଷା ପ୍ରଦାନ କରୁଛି। ଐତିହ୍ୟ ଥାନାକୁ ପ୍ରଶାସନ ଅଡିଟର ଜେନେରାଲ ଅଫିସ୍ ପାର୍କିଂ ପାଇଁ ଭାଙ୍ଗିଦେଇଛି। ଯାହାକୁ ନେଇ କ୍ଷୋଭ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଛନ୍ତି କଟକ ବାସିନ୍ଦା
The historic Lalbag Police Station in Cuttack, regarded as one of Odisha's oldest police stations and the city's first police station, has been demolished. The heritage structure, associated with the history of Odisha's former capital Cuttack, was razed and the police station has now been temporarily shifted near Ganesh Ghat. The station continues to provide security to the Orissa High Court and several sensitive locations in the city.
