ଗେଟ୍ ଖୋଲିଲା, ଆଉ ଗର୍ଜି ଉଠିଲା ହୀରାକୁଦ। ଧଳା ଫେଣରେ ଛାତି ଚିରି ମାଡ଼ି ଚାଲିଛି ବନ୍ୟାଜଳ। ଚଳିତ ବର୍ଷର ପ୍ରଥମ ବନ୍ୟାଜଳ ନିଷ୍କାସନ ସହ ହୀରାକୁଦ ଡ୍ୟାମ୍ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହୋଇଛି ଏହି ଅଦ୍ଭୁତ ଦୃଶ୍ୟ। ପ୍ରଥମେ ଖୋଲାଯାଇଥିଲା ୪ଟି ଗେଟ୍, ପରେ ଆଉ ୬ଟି। ମୋଟ ୧୦ଟି ସ୍ଲୁଇସ୍ ଗେଟ୍ ଦେଇ ହୀରାକୁଦରୁ ଛଡ଼ାଯାଇଛି ବନ୍ୟା ପାଣି।
The mighty Hirakud Dam came alive with the release of the season's first floodwater, creating breathtaking scenes in the downstream region. As the sluice gates opened, floodwater gushed out with tremendous force, sending waves of white foam surging through the river channel. Authorities initially opened four gates to release water and later increased the number by opening six more gates, taking the total to ten sluice gates. The first floodwater discharge of the year has transformed the Hirakud dam area into a major attraction, with the roaring waters drawing attention from residents and visitors alike.
