ଉପରମୁଣ୍ଡରେ ଲଗାଣ ବର୍ଷା ଯୋଗୁଁ ହୀରାକୁଦ ଜଳଭଣ୍ଡାରକୁ ପ୍ରବଳ ଜଳ ପ୍ରବେଶ ଜାରି ରହିଛି। ଦିନ ୧୨ଟା ସୁଦ୍ଧା ଜଳଭଣ୍ଡାରର ଜଳସ୍ତର ୬୨୦.୪୫ ଫୁଟ୍ ରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିଥିବା ବେଳେ ସେକେଣ୍ଡ ପ୍ରତି ୩ ଲକ୍ଷ ୧୧ ହଜାର ୬୬୦ କ୍ୟୁସେକ୍ ପାଣି ପ୍ରବେଶ କରୁଛି ଓ ସେକେଣ୍ଡ ପ୍ରତି ୬୩ ହଜାର ୧୧୪ କ୍ୟୁସେକ୍ ପାଣି ମହାନଦୀକୁ ନିଷ୍କାସନ କରାଯାଉଛି । ମୋଟ ୨ଟି ଗେଟ ଖୋଲା ରହିଛି ।
Heavy rainfall in the upstream catchment has led to a sharp increase in inflow into the Hirakud Reservoir. As of 12 PM, the reservoir's water level stood at 620.45 feet, with an inflow of 311,660 cusecs per second.
