30-Foot Breach in Brahmani River Worsens Flood Situation in Jajpur

ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣୀ ନଦୀରେ ୨ଟି ଘାଇ। ଯାଜପୁର ବରି ଚନ୍ଦନପୁର ନିକଟରେ ବ୍ରାହ୍ମଣୀ ନଦୀରେ ୩୦ ଫୁଟ୍ ଘାଇ। ବାଙ୍କ ସାହି ନିକଟରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ହୋଇଛି ୨୦ ଫୁଟର ଘାଇ ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହୋଇଛି। ସ୍ଥାନୀୟ ଅଞ୍ଚଳରେ ଜଳବନ୍ଦୀ ପରିସ୍ଥିତି ସୃଷ୍ଟି ହୋଇଥିବା ବେଳେ ଲୋକେ ହନ୍ତସନ୍ତ ହେଉଛନ୍ତି। ବୈତରଣୀ ଓ ଖରସ୍ରୋତା ନଦୀରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ବନ୍ୟାଜଳ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେଉଛି। ସିମୁଳିଆ ପଞ୍ଚାୟତର ବନ୍ତ, ମିର୍ଜାପୁର, ଚିଟ୍ଟାହାଟା ଓ ଗୁଲାଇପୁର ଗାଁ ଜଳମଗ୍ନ।
The flood situation has worsened in Jajpur district after a 30-foot embankment breach developed in the Brahmani River near Chandanpur in Bari block. Another 20-foot breach has also been reported near Bank Sahi, leaving nearby areas waterlogged.
