Amid persistent heavy rainfall, the Odisha government has declared a holiday for schools in five districts—Balasore, Bhadrak, Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Sambalpur. Classes in all government and private schools, along with Anganwadi centres, have been suspended today as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of students and staff in the rain-affected areas.
