ଲଗାଣ ବର୍ଷା ଲାଗି ରହିଥିବାରୁ ଫୁଲି ଚାଲିଛି କାଂଶ ବାଂଶ ଏବଂ ଗମେଇ ଦଦୀ। ପ୍ରଥମ ବନ୍ୟା ପାଣି ଛାଡିନଥିବାବେଳେ, ଭଦ୍ରକ ଜିଲ୍ଲା ବାସୁଦେବପୁରର କାଂଶବାଂଶ ଏବଂ ଗମେଇ ନଦୀରେ ଦ୍ବିତୀୟ ଥର ବନ୍ୟା ପାଣି ଆସିବାରୁ ୧୦ଟି ପରିବାର ଜଳବନ୍ଦୀ ଥିବା ଦେଖିବାକୁ ମିଳିଛି।ଶତାଧିକ ହେକ୍ଟର ଚାଷ ଜମି ଉପରେ ଲହଡି ମାରୁଛି ୧୦ ଫୁଟ ଉଚ୍ଚର ବନ୍ୟା ପାଣି ! ବରଣ୍ଡୁଆ, ନରସିଂହପୁର, ଅରଣ୍ଡୁଆ, ସୁଦର୍ଶନପୁର ପଞ୍ଚାୟତରେ ଧାନ ତଳି ପଚି ନଷ୍ଟ ହୋଇଯାଇଛି। ରାସ୍ତା ଉପରେ ବନ୍ୟାଜଳ ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେଉଥିିବାରୁ ଯାତାୟାତ ବାଧାପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହୋଇଛି।
Continuous rainfall has triggered a fresh spell of flooding in Basudevpur of Bhadrak district as the Kansabansa and Gamei rivers continue to swell. Even before the first floodwaters receded, a second wave of flooding has left at least 10 families marooned, while floodwater has submerged hundreds of hectares of agricultural land. Paddy seedlings have been damaged in the Barandua, Narasinghpur, Arandua and Sudarshanpur panchayats, and road connectivity has been disrupted as floodwater continues to flow over several roads, severely affecting normal life.
