Gajapati Seeks President, PM's Intervention Over ISKCON's Overseas Rath Yatra Dates

ବିଦେଶରେ ଇସ୍କନର ଅଦିନିଆ ରଥଯାତ୍ରା ଉପରେ ଲାଗିବ କି ବ୍ରେକ୍ ? ବନ୍ଦ ହେବ କି ଇସ୍କନ ମନମାନୀ? ଶ୍ରୀଜଗନ୍ନାଥ ସଂସ୍କୃତିର ସୁରକ୍ଷା ପାଇଁ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ଓ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କ ହସ୍ତକ୍ଷେପ ଲୋଡ଼ିଛନ୍ତି ଗଜପତି ମହାରାଜା ଦିବ୍ୟସିଂହ ଦେବ। ବିଦେଶରେ ଶାସ୍ତ୍ର ନିର୍ଦ୍ଧାରିତ ତିଥି ବାହାରେ ଇସ୍କନ କରୁଥିବା ସ୍ନାନଯାତ୍ରା ଓ ରଥଯାତ୍ରାକୁ ବନ୍ଦ କରିବା ପାଇଁ ହସ୍ତକ୍ଷେପ ଲୋଡ଼ିଛନ୍ତି।ଚିଠିରେ ଗଜପତି ଉଲ୍ଲେଖ କରିଛନ୍ତି, ତିଥି ପରମ୍ପରାକୁ ଭାଙ୍ଗି ସ୍ନାନଯାତ୍ରା ଓ ରଥଯାତ୍ରା ଆୟୋଜନ କରାଯାଉଛି। ଏହା ଜଗନ୍ନାଥପ୍ରେମୀଙ୍କ ଧର୍ମୀୟ ଭାବାବେଗକୁ ଆଘାତ ଦେଉଛି । ପୂର୍ବରୁ ମଧ୍ୟ ଗଜପତି ମହାରାଜ ଏ ନେଇ ରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରପତି ଓ ପ୍ରଧାନମନ୍ତ୍ରୀଙ୍କୁ ଚିଠି ଲେଖି ଅବଗତ କରାଇଥିଲେ । ଗତ ଶନିବାର ଇସ୍କନ କର୍ତ୍ତୃପକ୍ଷଙ୍କୁ ଚିଠି ଲେଖି ଅସନ୍ତୋଷ ବ୍ୟକ୍ତ କରିଥିଲେ ଗଜପତି। ପରମ୍ପରା ଭାଙ୍ଗି ହେଉଥିବା ଏହି ଆୟୋଜନ କୋଟି କୋଟି ଜଗନ୍ନାଥପ୍ରେମୀଙ୍କ ଧାର୍ମିକ ଭାବାବେଗକୁ ଆଘାତ ଦେଉଥିବା ଦର୍ଶାଇଛନ୍ତି ଗଜପତି ।

Gajapati Maharaja Divyasingha Deb has appealed to the President of India and the Prime Minister to intervene over ISKCON's conduct of Snana Yatra and Rath Yatra abroad on dates that are not in accordance with the prescribed tithi. In his representation, the Gajapati urged that such celebrations be stopped, stating that they deviate from the traditional Jagannath calendar. He said organising these festivals outside the prescribed tithi hurts the religious sentiments of millions of Jagannath devotees. The Gajapati noted that he had previously raised the issue with the President and the Prime Minister and also wrote to ISKCON authorities last Saturday expressing his dissatisfaction over the continuation of the practice.
