In Jajpur, the flood situation has deteriorated after seven embankment breaches in two days, leading to fresh inundation and widespread distress. With several affected areas still waterlogged and little hope of immediate relief from flooding, authorities fear that the hardship across these flood-hit districts of North Odisha may continue for several more days.
