Mahanadi Set to Rise Again Tomorrow as Hirakud Water Reaches Mundali

ମୁଣ୍ଡଳୀଠାରେ ମହାନଦୀର ଜଳସ୍ତର କମିଛି। ସେକେଣ୍ଡକୁ ୭ ଲକ୍ଷ ୧୮ ହଜାର କ୍ୟୁସେକ୍ ଜଳ ନିଷ୍କାସନ ହେଉଛି। ବିପଦ ସଂକେତ ତଳେ ପାଣି ପ୍ରବାହିତ ହେଉଛି। ଗତକାଲି ଖୋଲିଥିବା ହୀରାକୁଦର ୨୦ ଗେଟ୍ ଦେଇ ଆସୁଥିବା ଜଳ କାଲି ସୁଦ୍ଧା ମୁଣ୍ଡଳୀଠାରେ ପହଞ୍ଚିବ। ପୁଣି ମୁଣ୍ଡଳୀଠାରେ ମହାନଦୀର ଜଳସ୍ତର ବଢିବ । ମହାନଦୀର ଶାଖା ନଦୀ ଲୁଣା, କରାଣ୍ଡିଆ, ଚିତ୍ରତ୍ପୋଳା, ପାଇକା ଏବଂ ଦେବୀ ନଦୀରେ ମଧ୍ୟ ଜଳସ୍ତର ବଢିବ ।
The Mahanadi River water level at Mundali has temporarily receded and is currently flowing below the danger mark, with an outflow of 7.18 lakh cusecs. However, water released through 20 gates of Hirakud Dam is expected to reach Mundali by tomorrow, leading to another rise in the river level. The water level is also likely to increase in the Luna, Karandia, Chitrotpala, Paika and Devi rivers, prompting authorities to closely monitor the downstream flood situation.
