A tragic incident linked to poverty and debt has come to light from Kespur village under Banpur police limits in Khordha district. A 70-year-old father and his 30-year-old son lost their lives following a family dispute reportedly related to financial burdens and a promised payment of ₹5 lakh to a married daughter. The father allegedly died near the railway tracks at Balugaon, while the son reportedly consumed poison and later died during treatment.
