BJD leader Pradeep Majhi has criticized the Odisha government over alleged delays and irregularities in the distribution of pensions and social security allowances in Nabarangpur district. He claimed that over 68,000 elderly, widowed, and differently-abled beneficiaries are facing difficulties due to non-receipt of benefits, while more than 6,000 eligible applicants are still awaiting inclusion under the pension scheme. Responding to the allegations, the district Social Security Officer stated that two months’ pension under the NSAP scheme has already been credited to beneficiaries' accounts and assured that remaining issues will be investigated and addressed appropriately.
