A major burglary has been reported from Tentulisahi village under Kaptipada Police Station in Mayurbhanj district, where miscreants allegedly stole gold ornaments worth around ₹60 lakh along with ₹4 lakh in cash. The victim, Madhusudan Pati, and his wife had reportedly gone to their daughter's house when the burglars allegedly broke into their residence.

According to the complaint, the accused broke the main door lock and forced open three Godrej cupboards/almirahs before escaping with the valuables. The theft came to light after the family returned home in the evening and found the house ransacked. A written complaint has been lodged at Kaptipada Police Station, and police have begun an investigation into the incident.
