60 Families Risk Their Lives Daily as Angul Village Waits 50 Years for a Pucca Road

ରାସ୍ତା ପାଇଁ ବାଜିରେ ଜୀବନ । ଅନୁଗୁଳ କଣିଁହା ବ୍ଲକ ବୁରୁକୁନା କୁଲାପାଳ ଗାଁରେ ପ୍ରାୟ ୫୦ ବର୍ଷରୁ ଅଧିକ ଦିନ ଯାଏଁ ୬୦ ପରିବାର ବସବାସ କରନ୍ତି। କିନ୍ତୁ ଏତେ ବର୍ଷ ପରେ ବି ଗାଁକୁ ପକ୍କା ରାସ୍ତା ଟିଏ ନାହିଁ । ବର୍ଷ ତମାମ ଏହି ରାସ୍ତା ରେ ଯିବା ଆସିବା ବହୁ କଷ୍ଟକର ହୋଇପଡ଼ୁଛି। ଏପରିକି ରାସ୍ତା ଉପରେ ଥିବା ବ୍ରିଜ ରେ ବର୍ଷା ହେଲେ ପ୍ରାୟ ୩୦ ଫୁଟର ପାଣି ଚାଲୁଛି। ଗାଁର ଗୁରୁତର ରୋଗୀଙ୍କୁ ୨ କିଲୋମିଟର ବୋହି ନେବାକୁ ପଡେ । ଯାହାକୁ ନେଇ ଗ୍ରାମବାସୀ ଙ୍କ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ତୀବ୍ର ଅସନ୍ତୋଷ ପ୍ରକାଶ କରିଛନ୍ତି । ଏନେଇ ବିଡିଓ କହିଛନ୍ତି , ଏ ବିଷୟରେ ପ୍ରକୃତ ତଥ୍ୟ ଯାଞ୍ଚ କରି ପକ୍କା ରାସ୍ତା ଆବଶ୍ୟକ ଥାଏ ତେବେ ସେଥିପାଇଁ ଯୋଜନା ପ୍ରସ୍ତୁତ କରି ପ୍ରଥମେ ବ୍ଲକ ପ୍ରଶାସନ ରାସ୍ତା କରିବା ପାଇଁ ଚେଷ୍ଟା କରିବ ବୋଲି କହିଛନ୍ତି।

Residents of Burukuna Kulapal village in Kaniha Block of Angul district have been living without a pucca road for more than 50 years. Around 60 families face immense hardship throughout the year, with monsoon conditions making travel extremely dangerous. During heavy rains, nearly 30 feet of water flows over the bridge on the village road, forcing seriously ill patients to be carried nearly two kilometres for medical assistance. Villagers have expressed strong resentment over the prolonged neglect. Responding to the issue, the BDO said the administration will verify the ground situation and, if a pucca road is required, prepare a proposal and make efforts to construct it at the earliest.
