A minor boy was allegedly kidnapped in Bhubaneswar after being lured with the promise of biryani. The accused reportedly demanded a ransom of ₹20,000, threatening to kill the boy if the money was not paid. Acting swiftly on the complaint, Sahid Nagar Police rescued the minor safely from Tarini Basti in VSS Nagar and arrested all four accused.
The arrested accused have been identified as Manas Singh alias Mania, Mitu Nayak, Manas Ranjan Swain and Rajesh Sahu. According to police, the incident took place on Thursday when the minor had gone out to buy biryani. The accused later called the victim's sister and demanded ₹20,000, threatening to kill her brother if the ransom was not paid.
Following the complaint, Sahid Nagar Police conducted a raid, rescued the minor and registered a case against the accused under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). All four have been produced before the court, while further investigation is underway.
