Former bureaucrat V.K. Pandian did not appear at Capital Police Station in Bhubaneswar today as required for the inquiry into the alleged disappearance of two important files from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO). Pandian informed the police through email that he could not appear as he is abroad and requested more time. Earlier, former IT Secretary Manoj Mishra had appeared and recorded his statement, while former IAS officer Upendra Nath Behera has been issued a notice to appear tomorrow. The development has intensified political reactions over Pandian's absence from the inquiry.
