A massive traffic jam has hit the Bhubaneswar-Puri route as lakhs of devotees travel to witness the sacred Suna Besha darshan. Long queues of vehicles are stretching for kilometres, with commuters reportedly taking hours to cover even 5 to 7 kilometres due to the heavy rush. Parking arrangements are also facing immense pressure amid the huge crowd movement. The situation has brought focus on traffic management and the preparations of police and traffic authorities during the major religious gathering.
