STF Busts Inter-State Ganja Racket; Torn Rs 10 Note Used as Secret Code

୧୦ ଟଙ୍କିଆ ଚିରା ନୋଟ୍ ରେ ହେଉଥିଲା ଗଞ୍ଜେଇ କାରବାର। ଫଟା ନୋଟ୍ ଦେଖାଇ ହେଉଥିଲା କାରବାର। ଆନ୍ତଃରାଜ୍ୟ ଗଞ୍ଜେଇ ଚାଲାଣ ରାକେଟକୁ ମାଡ଼ିବସିଛି କ୍ରାଇମବ୍ରାଞ୍ଚ STF । କିଙ୍ଗପିନ୍ ଦୁର୍ବାଶା ନାୟକ ସମେତ ୪ ଜଣ ଭୁବନେଶ୍ବର ବାହାରୁ ଗିରଫ କରିବା ପରେ ଏହାପଛର ପୁରା ଘଟଣା ଉପରୁ ପରଦା ହଟିଛି । ୨୪ ତାରିଖ ଆଠଗଡ଼ ନିକଟ ୧୯୦ କେଜି ଗଞ୍ଜେଇ ଜବତ ଘଟଣାରେ ଦୁର୍ବାଶାଙ୍କୁ ଗିରଫ କରାଯାଇଥିଲା। ୪ ଜଣଙ୍କୁ ଗିରଫ ସହ ଗଞ୍ଜେଇ ଚାଲାଣର ନୂଆ ଫଣ୍ଡାର ବି ଖୁଲାସା କରିଛନ୍ତି କ୍ରାଇମବ୍ରାଞ୍ଚ ଡିଜି ବିନୟତୋଷ ମିଶ୍ର । କିଙ୍ଗପିନ୍ ଦୁର୍ବାଶା ନାୟକ ଜଣେ ଶିକ୍ଷକ ହୋଇ ବି ଗଞ୍ଜେଇ ଚାଲାଣରେ ସକ୍ରିୟ ଥିଲା । ଗଞ୍ଜେଇ ସ୍ମଗଲର୍ ମାନେ ଅଧା ୧୦ ଟଙ୍କିଆ ନୋଟରେ ଏସବୁ କାରବାର କରୁଥିଲେ । ଅଭିଯୁକ୍ତ ନିକଟରେ ମିଳିଥିଲା ଅଧା ଚିରା ୧୦ ଟଙ୍କିଆ ନୋଟ୍ ବାକି ଅଧା ଅଂଶ ଦେଖାଇବା ବ୍ୟକ୍ତିଙ୍କୁ ଗଞ୍ଜେଇ ଦେବାକୁ ନିର୍ଦ୍ଦେଶ ଥିଲା । ଏହି ଅଧା ଚିରା ୧୦ ଟଙ୍କିଆ ନୋଟ୍ କୁ ଜବତ କରିବା ପରେ ଏ ମାମଲାର ଅନ୍ୟ ଅଭିଯୁକ୍ତଙ୍କୁ ଖୋଜା ଚାଲିଛି।

The Crime Branch STF has busted an inter-state ganja smuggling racket and uncovered a unique method used by traffickers to carry out illegal transactions. Four persons, including alleged kingpin Durbasa Nayak, were arrested from outside Bhubaneswar in connection with the seizure of 190 kg of ganja near Athagarh on June 24.
Revealing the modus operandi, Crime Branch DG Vinaytosh Mishra said smugglers used torn Rs 10 notes as identification codes. One half of the torn note was kept with the accused, while ganja was allegedly handed over only to a person carrying the matching half. The STF has seized the torn currency note and is searching for other accused linked to the racket.
Investigators further revealed that alleged kingpin Durbasa Nayak, despite being a teacher, was actively involved in the ganja smuggling network. The investigation is continuing to trace other members of the inter-state syndicate.
