Five people were killed in a tragic road accident after a speeding car crashed into a stationary truck near Nallampalli Junction on the Pollachi–Palani National Highway in Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu. According to reports, all five occupants of the car died in the impact.
Four of the deceased were members of the same family from Coimbatore district, including a father, mother and their two daughters. Police are yet to establish the identity of the fifth victim and are investigating whether the person was the driver or another passenger. The exact circumstances leading to the crash are under investigation.
