The Odisha government has announced strict measures to ensure a smooth and disciplined Rath Yatra in Puri, with Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi directing that not a single extra cordon pass be issued beyond the approved limit. Only servitors and officials directly associated with temple rituals will be allowed access to restricted areas. Authorities have been instructed to politely remove any unauthorized entrants and provide proper training to security personnel managing cordon zones. The Chief Minister also stressed respectful treatment of women devotees, better coordination among servitors and officials, and flawless management of health, sanitation, and traffic arrangements. He said the world watches the Puri Rath Yatra and ensuring the safety of devotees and the successful conduct of the festival remains the government's top priority.
