An inquiry has been initiated after allegations surfaced that Rairakhol Jail Chief Warder Dilip Kumar Das was seen in the company of accused persons who are currently out on bail. Speaking exclusively, Sambalpur Jail DIG Manoranjan Pratihari said jail staff are prohibited from maintaining relations with accused persons and that appropriate action will be taken after a thorough investigation. Meanwhile, Rairakhol Jailer Laxmikanta Murmu stated that no illegal activities take place inside the jail and that he is unaware of any meetings outside the prison premises. The source also alleges that Bihar-based accused Akhilanand Mishra and Sunil Shankar, who were earlier lodged in the jail and are now on bail, were seen with the Chief Warder. It further claims that the warder allegedly facilitated food and legal assistance for the accused while they were in custody. However, no response from Dilip Kumar Das or the Rairakhol Jail authorities was available on these specific allegations at the time of reporting.
