କନ୍ଦାଉଛି ପିଆଜ । ୧୫ ଦିନ ମଧ୍ୟରେ ରେଟ୍ ଦୁଇ ଗୁଣା ବୃଦ୍ଧି। ଯାହାକୁ ନେଇ ଚିନ୍ତାରେ ପଡ଼ିଛନ୍ତି ଖାଉଟି। ୧୫ ଦିନ ପୂର୍ବରୁ ଯେଉଁ ପିଆଜ ୨୦ ଟଙ୍କାରେ ବିକ୍ରି ହେଉଥିଲା। ତାହା ଏବେ ୪୦ ଟଙ୍କାରେ ବିକ୍ରି ହେଉଛି। ଇନ୍ଦୋର ନାସିକରେ ଲଗାଣ ବର୍ଷା ପାଇଁ ପିଆଜ କମ୍ ପରିମାଣର ଆସୁଥିବାରୁ ଦର ବୃଦ୍ଧି ଘଟୁଥିବା ବ୍ୟବସାୟୀ କହିଛନ୍ତି। ସେପଟେ ଯୋଗାଣ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ କହିଛନ୍ତି ମହାରାଷ୍ଟ୍ରରେ ଅତ୍ୟଧିକ ବର୍ଷା ପାଇଁ ପିଆଜ ପ୍ରଚୁର କ୍ଷତିଗ୍ରସ୍ତ ହୋଇଛି। ଫଳରେ ଯୋଗାଣ ବାଧାପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ହେବାରୁ ରେଟ୍ ବଢ଼ିଛି। ପିଆଜକୁ ନେଇ କଳାବଜାରୀ କଲେ ଦୃଢ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟାନୁଷ୍ଠାନ ନିଆଯିବ ବୋଲି ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ କହିଛନ୍ତି।...

Rising onion prices have added to consumers' worries as retail rates have doubled within just 15 days. Onions that were selling at around ₹20 per kg a fortnight ago are now being sold for nearly ₹40 per kg. Traders attribute the sharp rise to reduced arrivals from Indore and Nashik due to continuous rainfall in the regions.
The Supply Minister said excessive rainfall in Maharashtra has caused significant damage to onion crops, disrupting supply and leading to the price surge. The minister also warned of strict action against anyone found indulging in black marketing or hoarding of onions amid the supply crunch.
