Family Dispute Adds New Dimension

Even as the legal process moves forward, tensions surrounding the case continue to grow. A dispute between Rahul Maharana's family members and his wife, Trishna, has been intensifying in recent weeks, drawing additional public attention to the case.

Notably, on June 1, 2026, drama unfolded at Trishna's in-laws' house in the Pandara area of Bhubaneswar when she arrived with police assistance to collect gold ornaments and other belongings allegedly gifted by her family during her marriage. Her mother and a relative accompanied her.

According to sources, Trishna's in-laws had locked the main gate after learning about her visit. The gate was reportedly opened only after police intervention. Tension escalated further once the parties entered the house.

While the exact nature of the disagreement remains a matter of discussion, the growing conflict has added another layer of complexity to an already sensitive and closely watched investigation.
