Students, parents and teachers across Odisha have welcomed the government's decision to replace defective school textbooks with corrected editions. The announcement came after the Education Secretary declared on Wednesday that the error-filled books would be withdrawn and replaced with error-free new textbooks. Until the revised books reach schools, teachers have been instructed to teach students by correcting the mistakes in the existing textbooks. While the interim arrangement continues, students and educators are now eagerly waiting for the new, error-free books to be distributed.
