Odisha Launches Gyanodaya Scheme, Free Education from KG to PG from 2026-27

ଜ୍ଞାନୋଦୟ ଯୋଜନାର ଶୁଭାରମ୍ଭ କଲେ ରାଜ୍ୟ ସରକାର । କେଜିରୁ ପିଜି ମାଗଣା ଶିକ୍ଷା ପାଇଁ ଜ୍ଞାନୋଦୟ ଯୋଜନାର ଶୁଭାରମ୍ଭ ହୋଇଛି । ୨୦୨୬-୨୭ ଶିକ୍ଷାବର୍ଷ ପାଇଁ ଲାଗୁ ହେବ ଜ୍ଞାନୋଦୟ- ଶିକ୍ଷାରୁ ସମୃଦ୍ଧି । ଏନେଇ ବିଦ୍ୟାଳୟ ଓ ଗଣଶିକ୍ଷା ବିଭାଗ ପକ୍ଷରୁ ବିଜ୍ଞପ୍ତି ଜାରି କରାଯାଇଛି । ଏହି ଯୋଜନାରେ ସରକାରୀ ଓ ସରକାରୀ ଅନୁଦାନପ୍ରାପ୍ତ ସ୍କୁଲରେ ନାମଲେଖା ସଂପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ମାଗଣା ହେବ । ସ୍ନାତକୋତ୍ତର ଶିକ୍ଷା ପର୍ଯ୍ୟନ୍ତ ନାମଲେଖା ଦେୟ ପଡ଼ିବନି। ଗତ ଏକ ତାରିଖରେ ଏହି ପ୍ରସ୍ତାବରେ କ୍ୟାବିନେଟ ମୋହର ବାଜିଥିଲା । ଯୋଜନା ଅନୁସାରେ, ରେଗୁଲାର୍ ପାଠ୍ୟକ୍ରମରେ ନାମ ଲେଖାଇବାକୁ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ ନାମଲେଖା ଫି’ ଛାଡ଼ କରାଯିବ। ତେବେ ସେଲ୍ଫ-ଫାଇନାନସିଂ, ବୃତ୍ତିଗତ ଓ ବୈଷୟିକ ଶିକ୍ଷା ଏହାର ଅନ୍ତର୍ଭୁକ୍ତ ନୁହେଁ। ସରକାର ଏଥିପାଇଁ ବାର୍ଷିକ ୮୯୫ କୋଟି ବହନ କରିବାକୁ ପଡ଼ିବ। ଆସନ୍ତା ୫ ବର୍ଷରେ ୫ ହଜାର ୪୬୭ କୋଟି ବ୍ୟୟ ହେବ। ଆର୍ଥିକ ସମସ୍ୟା ପାଇଁ କେହି ଶିକ୍ଷାରୁ ବଞ୍ଚିତ ନ ହୁଅନ୍ତୁ ତାହା ସରକାରଙ୍କ ଲକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ବୋଲି କହିଛନ୍ତି ମୁଖ୍ୟମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ।

The Odisha Government has officially launched the Gyanodaya Scheme to provide free education from KG to PG, beginning with the 2026-27 academic session. The School and Mass Education Department has issued a notification stating that admissions in government and government-aided educational institutions will be completely free for students enrolled in regular courses. Under the scheme, students will not have to pay admission fees up to postgraduate education, although self-financing, professional and technical courses have been kept outside its ambit. The proposal had received Cabinet approval earlier this month. The state government will spend nearly ₹895 crore annually and around ₹5,467 crore over the next five years for implementation. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said the objective is to ensure that no student is deprived of education due to financial constraints.
