Tension prevailed after businessman Shashikanta Das succumbed to injuries sustained in an alleged spade attack by a neighbour on July 5. Following his death during treatment, family members and locals staged a protest demanding the immediate arrest of the accused. Protesters placed the body on the road, burnt tyres and blocked the busy Cuttack-Chandbali Road, disrupting traffic movement in the area. The demonstration reflects growing public anger over the incident and demands for swift police action in the case.
