The Odisha Government has announced free admissions for students from Kindergarten (KG) to Postgraduate (PG) level in a major Cabinet decision aimed at expanding access to education. While admission fees were already waived from Class I to Class VIII, the benefit has now been extended from Class VIII to PG. The decision has been widely welcomed across various sections of society. The Higher Education Minister also stated that students who have already completed their admissions by paying fees will be refunded the amount, ensuring that all eligible students receive the benefit of the new policy.
