No Immediate Cut in Petrol & Diesel Prices Despite Fall in Crude Oil: Hardeep Singh Puri

ଏବେ କମିବନି ପେଟ୍ରୋଲ ଓ ଡିଜେଲ୍ ଦର । କେନ୍ଦ୍ର ପେଟ୍ରୋଲିୟମ୍ ମନ୍ତ୍ରୀ ହରଦୀପ ସିଂ ପୁରୀ ଏହି ସୂଚନା ଦେଇଛନ୍ତି । କହିଛନ୍ତି, ଅଶୋଧିତ ତୈଳ ଦର ହ୍ରାସ ପାଇଲେ ବି ପେଟ୍ରୋଲ ଓ ଡିଜେଲ୍ ଦର ଏବେ କମିବନି । କାରଣ ଦେଶର ତୈଳ କଂପାନୀ ଗୁଡ଼ିକ ୨.୧୮ ଲକ୍ଷ କୋଟିର ଆର୍ଥିକ କ୍ଷତି ସହିଛନ୍ତି । ତେଣୁ ସେହି ଆର୍ଥିକ କ୍ଷତିର ଭରଣା ପାଇଁ ଏବେ ଉଦ୍ୟମ ଜାରି ରହିଛି। ଆଜି ବି ଉଚ୍ଚ ଦରରେ କିଣାଯାଇଥିବା ତେଲ, କମ୍ପାନୀମାନଙ୍କ ପାଖରେ ମହଜୁଦ ଅଛି। ତେଣୁ ଏବେ ପେଟ୍ରୋଲ, ଡିଜେଲ୍ ଦର କମିବାର ପ୍ରଶ୍ନ ଉଠୁନାହିଁ ବୋଲି ସ୍ପଷ୍ଟ କରିଛନ୍ତି। ତାସହ କହିଛନ୍ତି, ଦେଶର ବନ୍ଦର, ଟର୍ମିନାଲ, ରିଫାଇନାରୀ ଗୁଡ଼ିକରେ ମୋଟ ଅଶୋଧିତ ତୈଳ ଷ୍ଟକ 76 ରୁ 80 ଦିନର ଚାହିଦା ପୂରଣ ପାଇଁ ଯଥେଷ୍ଟ। ତେଣେ ଡିଲର୍ ସଂଘ କହିଛି, ଇନ୍ଧନ ଦର କମିବା ପାଇଁ ଆହୁରି ୨/୩ ମାସ ସମୟ ଲାଗିପାରେ ।

Union Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has said that petrol and diesel prices will not be reduced immediately even though global crude oil prices have declined. According to the minister, India's oil marketing companies have incurred losses of ₹2.18 lakh crore and are currently working to recover those losses. He also said that companies continue to hold fuel inventories purchased at higher crude oil prices, leaving no immediate scope for a reduction in retail fuel prices. The minister further stated that crude oil stocks available at the country's ports, terminals and refineries are sufficient to meet demand for 76 to 80 days. Meanwhile, the Dealers' Association believes consumers may have to wait another 2–3 months before any reduction in petrol and diesel prices is possible.
