BJD president and Leader of the Opposition Naveen Patnaik has demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET controversy. Speaking during his visit to New Delhi after meeting party MPs, Naveen raised questions over the handling of the issue. Responding to the demand, Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan hit back, alleging that the previous BJD government was plagued by several scams, ranging from the chit fund scam to question paper leaks. He said the current government has spent over a year addressing the situation inherited from the previous regime and added that the Prime Minister has already clarified the Centre's stand, accusing the Opposition of lacking real issues.
