The Odisha Vigilance Department has launched a major investigation into alleged corruption and financial irregularities in LED street light installations under the ‘Ama Gaon Ama Bikash’ scheme implemented during the previous BJD government. Simultaneous raids are being conducted at 50 locations, with 24 teams comprising 81 officials carrying out searches across Keonjhar, Nayagarh, and Jajpur districts. Investigators have reportedly found evidence of tender guideline violations and possible involvement of government officials and project agencies. The BJD has not yet issued an official response to the allegations.
