A major fire broke out at an aluminium and glass shop in Balarampur under Kujang area of Jagatsinghpur district, triggering panic in the locality. The shop was completely engulfed in flames, causing extensive damage to property.
Two fire tenders rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control after considerable efforts. According to preliminary reports, goods worth lakhs of rupees were destroyed in the fire.
The exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. However, it is suspected that the blaze may have been triggered by a short circuit. Authorities are investigating the incident.
