The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast the formation of a low-pressure area over the northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining regions by July 3. According to the weather department, an active cyclonic circulation over the north Bay of Bengal adjoining the south Bangladesh coast is likely to intensify into a low-pressure system in the coming days.
